KS-282 is the Non-Basmati Long Grain White Rice. It has the same length as the basmati rice. This rice is rather affordable by people including labor camps, road side restaurants and for cuisines such as Chinese and Thai food.
The other reason for liking this rice is its medium grain length that is good for making Chinese food, Thai food or Japanese dishes. It is a very good substitute for basmati rice to the people who are allergic to it they can use KS-282 rice in everyday cooking.

- Boil 6-8 cups of water add 500 gm KS-282 Non-Basmati Rice.
- Cook uncovered for 10 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally.
- Remove from heat and drain out water.
- Fluff and Serve.
